Merry Christmas

Katie and Jason

John, Glori, Brittney, Landon, Kaylin and Haven
Jordan with Haven

Justin, Jennifer, Hope, Halle and Haven

Once again merry Christmas from the Hamren’s, we hope this letter finds you all well and in great spirits for the holidays. Here is the yearly letter updating you all on what is going on in our family’s lives. So here we go!
Kaylin turned eight years old this year and was baptized by her Dad. She is the caboose and it was tuff on dear old Dad to baptize his last child. She is the joy of the family and I suppose we all love to spoil her, Mom especially! She is in dance and ballet with her cousins this year and is having a lot of fun at it. She loves to hum and sing around the house, so we hear pleasant sounds from her when she is humming around the house after school.
Landon will turn twelve next month and is looking forward to receiving the Priesthood like his brothers and Dad hold. He is also excited about scouts and working toward his eagle rank. This year Landon played flag football. We were proud of how well he played. He became the star quarterback and scored around half the team’s touchdowns. To see a video of it, visit the Hamren family blog page.
Brittney is fourteen and can’t wait to turn sixteen so Dad can interview the dates and embarrass her even more! This year she is in the ninth grade dance company, and just recently did one of her yearly performance at school. She participated in eight dances and does really well at it. Most importantly she is having fun and is growing up to be a beautiful young lady!
Jordan is seventeen and a senior in high school. He works for Warp 9 racing and laces motorcycle rims. He loves to play whatever sport is in season and eat and eat. He is our back up cook when his Dad is out of town and seems to be good at it. Presently he is playing on a Jr. Jazz team to stay busy. He loves to have friends over to eat and play fantastic contraption online. Don’t laugh, try it yourself, you may like it.
Dustin is presently on an LDS mission in West Virginia. He has been out since November of 2007. He has been successful and was recently made zone leader. We are proud of his service and dedication to the Lord. We just hope he stays away from gun toating crazy West Virginian’s.
Tyson is presently on and LDS mission in Guatemala. He has been out since May of 2007. Both he and Dustin will be home for next years Christmas. We look forward to that big re-union. Tyson is constantly exploring the jungles and volcanos of Guatemala. We hope he just won’t get lost in the process.
Jennifer and her Husband Justin are living in Cedar City with their three daughters. Yes that’s right another granddaughter was born this year. Now we have three grandchildren, Hope, Halle and Haven. Justin is a branch manager at Wells Fargo and Jennifer takes care of the home. All you Mom’s know that is no small chore. We honor those women who can be stay at home moms! The greatest work you will ever do is within your own walls at home.
Jason and his wife Katie had a big announcement a few weeks ago, they are expecting! So Grandchild number four is on its way. We are excited for them and look forward to the new arrival. Jason this year earned his private pilot’s license and gave his brother-in-law Justin a flight over the Wasatch front.
Glori is still Primary President and enjoys working with the kids in the ward. She stays busy hauling kids around and working as a house cleaning crew.
John still works and travels for SRI Surgical. Recently he was released as Bishop, his five years were up. Now he is the wards young men president.
This past year we traveled again to the Oregon coast for a family re-union. Glori was able to have a dream come true when she and John traveled to Australia and New Zealand. Glori’s Mother and Father and some siblings also came along. Remember that her Mother is from Australia. We were able to visit many sights that Joyce has always spoken about. We stayed with her cousin Cecily and husband Len. It was a very enjoyable experience with fond memories.
So long until next year, Merry Christmas!
